16.19 kilometers | 10.06 miles

This unique race course of 16.19 kilometers allows you to embark on a journey of more than 400 years of Black history. You will be transported back in time to experience the Transatlantic Slave Trade, the American Civil War, the Jim Crow Era, the Civil Rights Movement, as well as present-day reflections on Black history, culture and community.

6.19 kilometers | 3.85 miles

Our short distance of 6.19 kilometers (3.85 miles) is the ideal choice to run or walk with your entire family through more than 400 years of Black history. Our cut-off-times are very walker-friendly. Unless you’re on crutches, you’ll make it to the finish line on time.

Time to Heal, presented by Allianz is a free community event that sets the intentions for RUN RICHMOND 16.19 through breath, meditation, and movement.

Cancellation: Race entries are non-refundable, even in the case of a race postponement, format changes, cancellation and/or if you are unable to participate.

However, you have the option to purchase Registration Protection from our partner Allianz Global Assistance. Registration Protection can reimburse up to 100% of your registration fees if you can’t participate in the event due to a covered illness, injury, traffic accident, and more.

To do so, please register for the race first. Then, click the insurance link provided in your registration confirmation email.

Participant Transfer: Sometimes life gets in the way. In case you cannot attend the event, you can easily transfer your entry ticket to a friend. We’ll only charge a $5 transfer fee from you, the original ticket holder. Just visit the self-service portal of our registration partner Run Signup to initiate a transfer for a refund or as a gift. In the first case, your friend pays for your ticket online and you receive a refund in return. In the second case, your friend does not have to pay and you don’t get refunded.

Change Race Distance: You also have the option to upgrade or downgrade your race distance as long as there are open slots. You can conveniently do so from the self-service portal of our registration partner Run Sign Up.

If you are transferring to a longer distance, you’ll be asked to pay the difference in ticket price plus a $5 processing fee. If you downgrade to a shorter distance you will only need to pay the processing fee of $5. Please note that we do not offer any refunds on downgrades.
